However, most recently (as of August 2020), my husband's work brought us to northwest Saskatchewan, just outside Loon Lake. We are settling well in this area, and enjoying our beautiful surroundings as we get to know our new community. I am just wrapping up my maternity leave after my 4th child was born a year ago as well.
During my maternity leave, COVID-19 reached Saskatchewan, and this pandemic has made many changes to how service businesses including birth doulas and breastfeeding counselors operate, but the good news is that not much has changed for this business! I have always been open to supporting clients in whatever ways work best for them - be it through digital/virtual support or in person support! I have always been flexible in offering customized support packages, and while COVID-19 has changed a lot in our society, I believe women and their families should not have to sacrifice their desire for support in this time because there is a pandemic going on while their babies are on the way - I am committed to finding ways to support women in safe, comfortable, and helpful ways despite the chaos that sometimes surrounds us!
Please consider this the official Bundle of Love Birth Services announcement that as of August 2020, I am NOW supporting birth doula clients planning their births for Meadow Lake, Lloydminster, or North Battleford, Saskatchewan. I am also supporting breastfeeding clients in Meadow Lake and the surrounding area. While I am not yet certified as a breastfeeding counselor, I am happy to help however I can while I continue my studies!
My birth doula work started out of my passion to support other women during their pregnancies and births and early postpartum time, and I also developed a passion to support and help women who are learning to breastfeed and who may be experiencing specific challenges. I am excited to be able to now bring this support to women and their families in northwest Saskatchewan!
