If you are approaching or have passed your "due date" - that 40 week point in your pregnancy you are given a date for early on in your pregnancy, it is almost certain you will hear certain words with increasing frequency, like "overdue", "induction", "prostaglandin" (or "Cervadil"), "Pitocin", and others.
If this describes your situation or that of someone you know, I'd love to share part of a paragraph from a book I'm currently reading:
I have said it on my Facebook page before, and I will say it again:
Birth is birth, and there are no greater or lesser birth, in my opinion! Every birth, no matter which way it happens, is a life-changing birth and is no less significant than any other! How we give birth is UNIQUE, from woman to woman, and even from birth to birth! No birth is going to look exactly the same because we are all unique, with varying preferences, needs, desires, and our situations never look exactly the same as someone else's!
